The Afghan Ministry of Justice has issued a new law banning excessive wedding customs, rituals and expenses. The document states that such customs are not in line with Islam and are wasteful. The ban covers everything from the betrothal ceremony, pre-wedding and post-wedding receptions, lavish meals, weddings, dowries, engagement ceremonies, the exchange of expensive gifts to the equipment that the bride must bring to the groom's house.

A delegation led by Afghan Minister of Trade and Industry Nuruddin Azizi, who visited Kyrgyzstan, was introduced to the products of the halal industry developing in the country.

Afghanistan's Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) energy company and Uzbekistan have signed agreements for four projects in the electricity supply sector.

A delegation led by the Chairman of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan (SSS) Bahodir Kurbanov met with the Minister of Defense of Afghanistan, Mullah Muhammad Yaqub, in Kabul. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on border cooperation, establishing mutual relations, and other relevant issues. Bahodir Kurbanov also met with the Minister of Interior of the neighboring country, Sirojiddin Haqqani.

During the meeting, issues of trade, humanitarian cooperation, and the development of regional connectivity were discussed, including the pending agreement on the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan railway.
