Voting for the second round of the presidential election has begun in Iran. In it, two candidates are competing for the presidency, 69-year-old former health minister, reformist Masoud Pezeshkiyan, and 58-year-old representative of the Iranian leader in the Supreme National Security Council, conservative Saeed Jalili. In polls conducted on July 3, 49.5 percent of participants said they would vote for the reformist candidate Pezeshkian. 43.9 percent of voters preferred the conservative candidate Said Jalili.

The number of crimes against Muslims and Islam is increasing in Sweden. Such incidents are widespread across the country, ranging from attacks on mosques and abuse of hijab-wearing women to anti-Islamic language at work or in the community. "Unfortunately, we are used to such things," says Mirza Babović (66), a member of the Bosnian Islamic Association. According to the new law signed by the President, the organization and holding of Umrah events in Uzbekistan is now defined as a separate type of licensed activity. Entrepreneurs who do not fulfill the requirements of this law will be fined in the amount of 200 times the BHM (currently - 68 million soums). Also, a state fee of 10 times BHM (3.4 million soums) for obtaining a license is paid to the Committee on Religious Affairs, which is designated as the competent body in this field.

The 24th summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan began in Astana. The main agenda of the summit held under the slogan "Strengthening multilateral dialogue: striving for sustainable peace and development" will be to strengthen the role of the SCO in solving current international and regional problems. Heads of state and government of 16 countries, as well as representatives of international organizations such as UN, IHTT, Islamic Organization for Food Safety, CIS, CSTO are participating in the SCO+ format summit. During the summit, Belaruv became the 10th full-fledged member of the SCO.
