The number of people who died due to a flood in Abshir Ota village, Nowkat district, Osh region, reached 9 people. This was reported by the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It is noted that most of the victims of the natural disaster are children and adolescents aged 8 to 19 years. Also, two women died as a result of the flood. A total of 53 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in rescue operations.

In addition, 120 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 50 employees of the Ministry of Defense and 150 representatives of the local population are also participating in the process. A total of 373 people are working at the scene.

A state of emergency has been declared in the Nougat district due to the flood that destroyed bridges and roads and caused the death of people. More than 1,300 people were trapped in the Abshir Ota resort, all of whom were evacuated.

According to local publications, the Naiman bridge collapsed due to the flood on the 63rd kilometer of the Osh-Razzokov highway. The collapse of the bridge happened during the flood relief works. Restoration work is said to be underway at the scene.
