The second People's Congress continues its work in Bishkek with the participation of the President of Kyrgyzstan and other officials.

The Kyrgyz Parliament has adopted a law to change the design of the national flag.

On January 11, Kyrgyz President Sadir Japarov reacted to the revelation of a group preparing to overthrow the government by the State Committee for National Security, and announced that those who want to use public discontent for their own purposes will be severely punished.

Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan have announced that they will help Kyrgyzstan regarding the accident at the Bishkek TPP. In particular, Uzbekistan delivered liquefied gas cylinders to Osh.

In Bishkek, a Palestinian woman opened a Palestinian national dishes kitchen called "Paseltina". 15 percent of the institution's income is sent to Palestine as humanitarian aid.

Agreed on another 1.1 km of the disputed border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and signed the relevant protocol. At the moment, 889.45 kilometers or about 90 percent of the total 972 kilometers border between the two countries has been clearly defined and demarcated. The remaining parts are controversial. That is, there are still territories that both sides claim as their own.

Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akilbek Japarov put forward a proposal to ban divorced women from making negative comments about their ex-husband and his family on social networks. He explained his proposal by the fact that such performances contradict the traditions and values of the Kyrgyz people.

Kyrgyzstan proposes to lift the ban on exploration and exploitation of uranium and thorium deposits. The ban was introduced in December 2019 after the "uranium conflict".
