On Monday, the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, King posted a video of himself and his wife bearing witness behind an imam on social media.
He also attached a video explaining how he became a Muslim.
"Just now, my wife and I returned home to our mosque in Dallas, Texas, where we performed the shahadah and prayed the evening prayer, with the arrival of Ramadan. It was a beautiful, powerful and important day that we will never forget," he wrote.
