Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan

The leaders of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan have agreed to sign a historic agreement on the point where the state borders of the three countries meet, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon announced during an official visit to Bishkek.

According to reports, this agreement will be signed by the presidents of the three countries in the city of Khujand on March 31 of this year. This is one of the major diplomatic achievements on border issues between neighboring countries.

Such documents are also important for ending long-standing disagreements, disputes, and uncertainties in border areas, strengthening territorial integrity, and further developing friendly relations between peoples.

It should be noted that a similar border demarcation agreement was signed between Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan in 2017. This was also seen as a major step towards peacefully resolving border issues and strengthening regional security.
