The number of crimes against Muslims and Islam is increasing in Sweden. "Unfortunately, we are used to such things," says Mirza Babović (66), a member of the Bosnian Islamic Association. He recalled instances where anti-Islamic symbols were painted on the old prayer hall, pig remains were dumped on the construction site, and windows were broken.

More than 700 people have been evacuated from the mosque and three surrounding areas due to threats of a terrorist attack from one of Britain's largest mosques in east London. The threat has not been confirmed, but a possible hate crime is under investigation.
