The head of state emphasized that those who go for Hajj and Umrah should be promoters of spirituality.

According to the new law signed by the President, the organization and holding of Umrah events in Uzbekistan is now defined as a separate type of licensed activity. Entrepreneurs who do not fulfill the requirements of this law will be fined in the amount of 200 times the BHM (currently - 68 million soums). Also, a state fee of 10 times BHM (3.4 million soums) for obtaining a license is paid to the Committee on Religious Affairs, which is designated as the competent body in this field.

The Center for the Organization of Hajj and Umra Events of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan announced that the Umrah season will begin on September 10. According to the Umrah program, pilgrims spend 3 days in Medina and 7 days in Mecca.

The government of Uzbekistan adopted a decision aimed at strengthening the requirements for the organization and conduct of the Umrah. According to him, the entrepreneurs engaged in this activity were required not to provide services to minors, to reserve 1 million US dollars for the "Ziyarat" fund, and not to carry out their activities through tour operators and travel agents.

The chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs, Sadiqjon Toshboev, supported the request to deposit $1 million for the Umra license. "This is not a big amount... If there was a problem with those 15,000 people, we could not bring back even 100 people for the 100,000 dollars invested," said the representative of the Religious Committee. He also gave information about going to Umrah pilgrimage independently.
