The flood caused casualties and devastation in his region

On July 14, due to heavy rainfall, floods occurred in many areas of Osh region of Kyrgyzstan. The Akbuyra river overflowed its banks and flooded the streets of Osh, including the central market. A state of emergency has been introduced in Osh until the consequences of the flood are eliminated. About 300 public utility workers, rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and military personnel of the Osh garrison are participating in the cleaning of roads and structures from floods. According to preliminary data, 7,500 consumers of Kara-Suv distribution zone were left without electricity supply in Osh region and Osh city due to flood. The flood washed away 8 electric poles. Seven cars were also washed away by the current, four of which were found.

The body of a 7-year-old girl was found in Uzbekistan

The body was found yesterday, July 14, at approximately 10:10 p.m. in the Shahronsoy canal in the city of Andijan (Uzbekistan). His body was handed over to the Kyrgyz side at the "Dostuk" checkpoint.

In the city of Osh, 146 residential buildings and one kindergarten were destroyed by the flood. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan.

642 houses and 9 social facilities were flooded in Madi, Dodhoh, Bashbulok villages of Kara-suv district of Osh region. The buildings of four schools, one kindergarten, two hospitals, a museum and an emergency medical center were damaged.

In Andijan, the bridge was washed away

In Khojaabad and Jalakuduq districts of Andijan region, floods also caused the collapse of bridges.

The bridge was built over the "Aqboyra stream" passing through the village of Yorkhishloq, Jalakuduq district. According to climatologist Erkin Abdulahatov, the main factor in its collapse may be the sudden and strong flood that flowed from the neighboring Kyrgyzstan in the stream.

It was reported that no one was injured as a result of the incident.

According to the press service of Andijan regional administration, a working group consisting of representatives of the regional and both districts has arrived at the scene and is working.
