The traditional event in Kyrgyzstan - the "Immortal Regiment" procession was canceled this year. Nurlan Ismailov, deputy head of the Public Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, informed about this at a press conference held in the "Kabar" agency.
According to him, the decision to restrict the movement of the mass procession from the "South Gate" to Victory Square in Bishkek was made based on the results of the analysis of the received operational data, and this restriction is being implemented throughout the country; .
“I request the citizens to adopt this decision as a security measure to rule out any provocative actions that could lead to dire consequences. However, all other activities at the posted locations will continue as normal. Public safety and order will be ensured as necessary. From May 1 to May 10, law enforcement officials were put on alert," he said.
Zulfira Khaibullina, the coordinator of the "Immortal Regiment Kyrgyzstan" action, appealed to the citizens to treat the situation with understanding.
