Official Cairo is ready to join the contingent of UN-led Arab forces entering the Gaza Strip, provided that the Israeli army withdraws its troops completely. This was reported by the Qatari newspaper "Al-Araby Al-Jadeed".

According to the source, these forces will remain in the sector "until the Palestinian Authority takes control of the situation in the enclave".

Earlier, the Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Army met with his colleagues from several Arab countries in Bahrain and discussed this issue.

According to the publication, Cairo has decided not to participate in military actions directed against any country in the region, including Iran.

"Egyptian military does not participate in any process involving the exchange of information and coordinates with parties in the region, considering that this action threatens the interests and security of the state," the newspaper wrote.
