16,000 Islamophobic crimes committed in France in one year

In recent years, the number of hate crimes and racism has been increasing sharply in European countries. According to statistics, the number of Islamophobic crimes in France reached 16,000 in 2024. This indicates that atrocities against Muslims in the country have increased by 11 percent compared to 2023.

Earlier, a 20-year-old Muslim man, Aboubakr Cisse, was brutally stabbed to death in a mosque in the French village of La Grand Combe. After a two-day manhunt, the suspect, identified as Olive A., born in 2004, was arrested in Pistoia, Italy.
