A Hyundai minibus traveling on the Kazakhstan-Moscow route collided with a KÍA serato car in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia. As a result, 7 Uzbeks - six men and one woman - died, 3 people were injured. Measures are being taken to return the bodies of the deceased to the homeland.

7 Uzbeks died as a result of a road traffic accident in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia, reports the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation.

It is noted that the incident took place on September 1 at around 11:00 a.m. on the section of the M-12 "Vostok" federal highway that passed through the Navashinsky district. A Hyundai minibus driven by a 32-year-old citizen of Tajikistan collided with a KÍA Serato car while traveling on the Kazakhstan-Moscow route.

As a result, 8 people died, 7 of them were citizens of Uzbekistan (6 men and one woman). 3 citizens (two men and one woman) were placed in regional medical institutions with various injuries.

In accordance with the instructions of the resident of Uzbekistan , the government is taking necessary measures to quickly resolve all organizational issues related to the return of the bodies of the deceased to their homeland.

This matter was taken under special control by the Cabinet of Ministers and the embassy in Moscow.

The management of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan and the representatives of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency are providing the necessary assistance at the scene, the report says.
