The Islamic Development Bank will allocate 79 million dollars to Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the project "Financing affordable housing according to Sharia norms". The Kyrgyz government announced that thousands of families will be provided with affordable housing thanks to the project.

The Islamic Development Bank will allocate 79 million dollars to Kyrgyzstan for the construction of social housing, reports Yeni Şafak.

The relevant agreement on the project "Financing affordable housing according to Sharia standards" was signed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adilbek Qasimaliev, and the President of the Islamic Development Bank, Muhammad Suleiman Al-Jassir, in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Adilbek Qasimaliev noted that thanks to the funded project, thousands of families will be provided with social housing.

"To date, the bank has implemented 27 projects with a total value of more than 500 million dollars, and at the moment projects with a total value of more than 200 million dollars are in the implementation stage," the information of the Cabinet of Ministers states.

Qasimaliev also invited the leadership of IDB to participate in the International Energy Investment Forum organized by Kyrgyzstan and held in early June in Vienna (Austria) to attract financial resources for the construction of hydroelectric power stations.
