The Iraqi parliament has passed a bill amending the 1988 anti-prostitution law. According to it, same-sex relations are punishable by up to 15 years, and promotion of LGBT activities is punishable by up to 7 years. The new law also sets penalties for transgender people and doctors who perform such surgeries.

The striker of the French football club "Nantes" Mustafa Muhammad was expelled from the match against "Monaco" for refusing to wear symbols of the LGBT movement. The disqualification did not take long - "Nantes" lost to "Monaco" with a score of 0:4.

The petition (people's appeal) to ban covert and overt LGBT propaganda in Kazakhstan collected the necessary 50,000 votes and was accepted for official consideration by the government. The appeal was put forward by Bagila Baltabaeva, head of the Parents' Union of Kazakhstan.

Alisher Kadyrov, leader of the "National Revival" party, announced that work is underway on a law banning LGBT propaganda in Uzbekistan. He pointed to US President-elect Donald Trump's promises to ban LGBT people, noting that "the change at the heart of the disease is very good."
