"Kyrgyz people have always been tolerant and kind. He is very patient, but stubborn, has a strong sense of denial of injustice ... On March 24, 2005, the people made a historic choice by punishing those who put their personal interests above their own , "says Sadir Japarov's address.

"Kyrgyz people fighting for justice made the world realize that a free life in a sovereign state is true happiness, where fair governance, harmony and development prevail," the text reads.

The President of Kyrgyzstan believes that such events should be a lesson for everyone.

"We should never forget that the real owner of the power enshrined in the Constitution is the people. We must remember that people do not worry for no reason. If we do not pay attention to it or are indifferent, neither the people nor history will forgive us," the appeal reads.

Sadir Japarov added, "Sovereign Kyrgyzstan needs fair governance and unity." He called to feel responsibility for sovereign Kyrgyzstan.

For reference, on March 24, 2005, mass protests took place in Kyrgyzstan that led to the overthrow of the then president Asker Akaev. Askar Akaev was the country's first head of state and ruled Kyrgyzstan for 14 years. In the middle of his term, he was accused of usurpation . This was due to endless changes to the country's Constitution (five reforms) and referendums (twice), with the help of which he consolidated his power.
