Eid al-Adha falls on June 6 in Uzbekistan

The first day of the month of Zulhijjah in Uzbekistan fell today, May 28. This was announced by the Fatwa Center under the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan.

According to the Hijri-lunar calendar, the 10th day of the month of Zulhijjah is considered the first day of Eid al-Adha - the Feast of Sacrifice. Accordingly, the first day of Eid al-Adha in Uzbekistan is expected to fall on Friday, June 6. In turn, the Day of Arafah will be celebrated on Thursday, June 5.

According to the Hijri calendar, Eid al-Adha begins on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah after the Fajr prayer and continues until the Asr prayer on the 13th.

It has not yet been officially announced how many days off will be given for Eid al-Adha.
