Afghanistan donates 16 truckloads of Herat white marble to Uzbekistan



Afghanistan donated 16 truckloads of Herat white marble for the construction of the Imam Bukhari complex, the Surkhandarya regional administration reported.

It is noted that a meeting was held yesterday, May 13, at the Termez International Trade Center. It was attended by delegations led by the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatilla Ergashev, the Governor of Surkhandarya Region Ulugbek Qosimov, the Head of the Secretariat of the Prime Minister of Afghanistan Mullo Abdul Vose, and the Governor of Balkh Region Muhammad Yusuf Wafo.

During the conversation, issues of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, including further expansion of trade, transport, humanitarian and cultural ties, were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, Uzbekistan received 16 trucks of Herat white marble sent by Afghanistan for the construction of the Imam Bukhari complex being built in the city of Samarkand.

Ataullah Zaid, spokesman for the governor of Balkh province, said that each truck contains 350 marbles, enough to cover a total area of 4,000 square meters.
