Temptation is from Satan
What is temptation? Panic, doubts, hesitations and probabilities that have no basis, no connection with reality, that lead a person to bad, useless thoughts and actions. It takes us under control, and the worst, directs us to actions that are not allowed in religion.
The first thing we need to know is to realize the temptation of the situation that is happening to us, that Satan is trying to lead us astray. Because the devil wants to take advantage of our weakness to discourage us, scare us, divide us, and doubt us in matters of faith. He wants to achieve his great goal of making mankind hellish.
Consequently, because he did not fulfill the commandment of Allah Almighty to "prostrate to man", he was banished from his divine presence. He blamed both God and man for his sin and said: "...O Lord! I swear that now that you have led me astray, I will certainly show them (the children of Adam) beautifully (all the sins) on earth, and I will certainly lead them all astray! Only your sincere servants among them (are excepted)" (Hijr, 39-40).
The first result of this enmity was seen when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit. Adam and his wife quickly realized their mistakes and repented with regret and tears; They asked the Almighty for forgiveness.
In the same place, the difference between Satan and Hazrat Adam is clearly visible. Having committed a sin, the devil, who was searching for a guilty party, went to the time of revenge. Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Eve took their sins on their shoulders and prayed for God's mercy and forgiveness.
Even today, the man is the same, and so is the devil. Sometimes it misleads us by exaggerating our reward, sometimes it encourages us to rebel with fears that our sins will not be forgiven.
As the Messenger of God said, the devil who runs in our veins knows our weaknesses very well. Therefore, if we are not careful, it will lead us in the direction it wants.
One day there was a phone call at the office, they asked me. A woman my age said: "I am in such a bad situation that I even have inappropriate thoughts about God's attributes. "If I tell them enough, I'm afraid that it will settle in your mind," he cried. Look at the wisdom of God, I was very scared in those days, and the day before I was calmed down by reading the memoirs of Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf, may God bless him and grant him peace, about his temptations during his studies in Egypt and how he got rid of them. I told them and the situations I was in without concealing them. "Does this happen to you too?" Do these thoughts come to your mind?" I said. The woman was surprised at first, confirmed what I said, and then said: "So, I'm not the only one who has become this way!" It is the devil who brings such thoughts to the brain!”
As that woman said, the first way to get rid of falling into temptation and falling into sin is to know that it is from the devil and immediately pray for God's refuge: "Auzu billahi minash-shaitanir rajiim..."
