Among the evaluations made in Ankara, the visit, which will take place after a long break, is of historical significance both in terms of time and content, and will usher in a new era in Turkey-Iraq relations.

The parties are expected to sign many agreements and bring the dialogue between the countries to a practical level. In particular, Turkey expects the Iraqi government to designate the PKK as a "terrorist organization".
