Uzbekistan ranked third in Central Asia after Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan ($673 and $654, respectively) with an index of $351.

Tajikistan took the 143rd place among 196 countries in the world ranking of average wages. According to CEOWorld Magazine, the country ranks well below Afghanistan, which has been torn apart by war and crises in recent decades.

According to the authors of the magazine, the average monthly salary in Tajikistan was 169 dollars.

Afghanistan, on the other hand, can be proud of the best result - a salary of $205, the report says. Afghanistan also outperformed neighboring Pakistan ($163), almost all African countries and Venezuela ($199), once the richest country in South America.

Among the five countries of Central Asia (except Afghanistan), Tajikistan took the last place. According to the rating, the leading places in the region are occupied by Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan - 673 and 654 dollars, respectively. The average salary is followed by Uzbekistan with 351 dollars and Kyrgyzstan with 228 dollars.
