The "Central Asia - Germany" summit is taking place in Astana. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev went to Kazakhstan to participate in it.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev left for Astana on the morning of September 17 to participate in the second "Central Asia - Germany" summit at the invitation of Kazakhstan's President Qasim-Jomart Tokayev. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

It is noted that issues of further development and deepening of multilateral cooperation of the countries of the region with Germany will be discussed at the summit.

Special attention will be paid to the expansion of practical cooperation in trade and economy, investment, technologies, transport and communication and other priority areas. It is also planned to hold a joint meeting with the heads of leading German companies and banks.

The first summit in the format "Central Asia - Germany" was held on September 29 last year in Berlin.
