Tourists from Kazakhstan burned a forest in Greece
17 Kazakh tourists who went on holiday to one of the Greek islands accidentally set fire to the forest. This was reported by local publications.
It is noted that on the evening of June 21, vacationers started shooting fireworks along the coast from their rented yacht. As a result, a fire broke out in the pine forest.
"When they realized what they had done, they tried to put out the fire, and when they failed, they called the fire service and straightened the couple," said the mayor of the island, Georgios Koukoudakis.
3 fire engines and a helicopter were involved in extinguishing the fire. Meanwhile, the police arrested 13 people responsible for the incident. The charges against them have not been disclosed.
