An attempt by a Ukrainian subversive-intelligence group to break into Russian territory was stopped in the Klimovsky district of the Bryansk region of Russia. Governor Alexander Bogomaz announced this on his Telegram channel on Wednesday, August 21.

"During the battle, an attempt to break through was prevented by the forces of the FSB of Russia in the Bryansk region and units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The enemy was fired upon," the governor said in a statement.

According to local mass media, Ukrainian soldiers tried to enter Russian territory in the village of Zabrama. Currently, the entrance to Klimovsky District is blocked by checkpoints.

According to Bogomaz, the situation at the site of the conflict has stabilized and is under the control of the regional emergency headquarters.

Earlier, it was reported that more than 30 people were killed and 143 others were injured during the attacks in the Kursk region.

"In the morning of August 21, as a result of the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kursk region, it was confirmed that 31 people were killed, 143 people were injured in various degrees of severity. 79 people were hospitalized, including 4 children," TASS source reported.
