A number of Palestinians waiting for food in Gaza died after the parachutes of the humanitarian aid packages dropped from the plane did not open. The number of victims has not been specified.

The exact number of victims is being clarified. The tragedy happened because the parachutes did not open and the boxes fell directly on the poor people who were waiting for food on the ground, reports Anadolu, citing eyewitnesses.
The collapse occurred in the Shati refugee camp and Jala Street in the north of the occupied exclave. The boxes flew so fast that the people waiting for them did not have time to run to a safe distance.
The wounded were admitted to Shifa and Al-Ahli hospitals in Gaza.
