The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar announced that the delivery of medicine and humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip has begun as part of the agreement signed between Israel and Hamas. Hamas previously said it would only allow medicine and humanitarian aid to Israeli prisoners if it was also included for other Muslims in Gaza.

Jordanian Air Force planes parachuted humanitarian aid supplies to hospitals in the Gaza Strip. Aid included humanitarian cargo and food aid, including ready-to-eat meals with high nutritional value.

Currently, 16.7 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance.
