In England, two Palestinian supporters were arrested after they protested against Keir Starmer, the leader of the main opposition Labor Party, because he did not support calls for a ceasefire in Gaza .

Starmer was mobbed by a group of people during a train trip to Glasgow to attend a Scottish Labor party dinner and at a train station after the trip.

Someone who approached him during the trip said : "Keir, how many more children have to die before we call for a ceasefire in Palestine? More than 7,000 children have died. More than 7,000 children have been killed by Israel. This is unacceptable. Where is human rights, where is democracy? " he asked questions.

As Keir Starmer remained silent, security officers tried to take away the man who reacted to the main opposition leader.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said in a statement after the incident that it was aware of the demonstration and that two people who had resisted police had been arrested and an investigation was ongoing.

Starmer, the main opposition leader , has rejected calls from his party's MPs and constituents for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Labour's statements of support for Israel since 7 October and Starmer's claims that "Israel has the right to block water, food and fuel from entering Gaza" have caused controversy in the party.

In a later statement, Starmer said his words had been misunderstood.
