Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Egyptian counterpart Abdul Fattah al-Sisi started the construction of the fourth power unit of the first nuclear power plant in Egypt.

CEO of Rosatom state corporation Alexey Likhachev stated that the Turkish government has made a political decision to entrust Rosatom with the construction of the second nuclear power plant in the country. Currently, Russia is continuing the construction of Akkuyu NPP in Turkey. The NPP will be commissioned in mid-2025.

It was said that "some forces are exerting direct, open and covert" pressure against the construction of Akkuyu NPP with the participation of Rosatom in Turkey. Despite external pressure, Ankara plans to put the first reactor into operation by the end of this year.

In Austria, the head of "Ozatom" held negotiations with IAEA General Director Rafael Grossi on the construction of a low-power nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan. During the negotiations, it was noted that preliminary work has already started in cooperation with Rosatom and in full compliance with the recommendations of the IAEA.
