It was said that "some forces are exerting direct, open and covert" pressure against the construction of Akkuyu NPP with the participation of Rosatom in Turkey. Despite external pressure, Ankara plans to put the first reactor into operation by the end of this year.

Direct, open and covert steps are being taken by some forces against the construction of the Akkuyu NPP with the participation of Rosatom in Turkey. Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar informed about this, RIA Novosti reports .

He noted that 30,000 people were involved in the construction of the power station. Alparslan Bayraktar announced that the government of the republic plans to put the first reactor into operation by the end of this year, despite the destructive influence of external forces. He added that Ankara continues to act "resolutely" in this regard.

Rosatom has acquired the right to build the second nuclear power plant in Turkey in Sinop. Earlier, the Russian state corporation expressed its readiness to participate in the construction of the third nuclear power plant in Turkey.
