A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan and the Federation of Muslims of South Korea. At the meeting of the Fatwa Panel under the Council of Muftis of Turkic States in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, it was agreed to study the problematic issues of family, marriage and divorce in Turkic states and develop a collective fatwa. This proposal was put forward by the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan.
