The scholars of the Turkish states, taking into account astronomical calculations and astronomical observations based on jurisprudence, came to a unanimous opinion that the first day of the month of Ramadan in 1445 AH falls on Monday, March 11, 2024 AD. This was reported by the press service of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan.

It is noted that last week, on the initiative of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, an online meeting of fatwa boards of Turkic countries such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Azerbaijan was held.

At the meeting, scholars and experts in the field analyzed the work on observing the crescent moon of Ramadan, astronomical calculations, and astronomical data. Also, the information of the world's major fatwa agencies and prestigious astronomy institutes was reviewed in detail.
