A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan and the Federation of Muslims of South Korea. It envisages the establishment of religious education and the exchange of imams' experience, and the organization of educational talks by Uzbek imams at mosques in areas where there are many migrant workers in South Korea.

Chairman of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Khaliqnazar, on April 16, as part of his trip to South Korea, held a meeting with the president of the Muslim Federation of this country, Hwang Byong Ha-Ahmed, and the chief imam of the South Korean Muslim community, Lee Ju Hwa-Abdurahman Lee.

At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan and the Federation of Muslims of South Korea, which will serve as a basis for further development of cooperation. On the basis of this document, strengthening of cooperation in the religious field, establishment of religious education and exchange of experiences of imams, joint struggle against foreign ideas and joint conferences will be implemented.

Also, there will be opportunities to organize continuous educational talks by Uzbek imams in mosques in areas where there are many labor migrants in South Korea.

In the dialogue , it was also noted that the cooperation between the countries is developing more and more, that relations between religious authorities have been established, that last Ramadan, a group of Uzbek clerics held enlightening conversations with local residents and compatriots at events in South Korean cities such as Seoul, Kojedo, Kimhae, Cheongju, Mokpo.
