Uzbeks in Iran evacuated via Turkmenistan

Foreign diplomats in Iran, their family members, and other citizens were evacuated via Turkmenistan.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the neighboring country has offered its territory for evacuation. The country has provided humanitarian assistance to foreign citizens arriving from Iran. About 120 citizens - representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Romania and other countries - have crossed the border of Turkmenistan. They have been provided with transportation, food, accommodation and necessary daily necessities.

It is said that within the framework of humanitarian assistance, relevant government agencies of Turkmenistan are working closely with embassies of foreign countries and international organizations.
