Uzbekistan has become a strategic partner of Slovakia

Relations between Uzbekistan and Slovakia have been elevated to the level of strategic partnership, presidential spokesman Sherzod Asadov said.

For your information, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico arrived in Uzbekistan yesterday evening, June 8. The high-ranking guest was welcomed at Tashkent International Airport by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other officials.

Today, June 9, he laid flowers at the Independence Monument in the "New Uzbekistan" park. Representatives of the Slovak delegation, led by the high-ranking guest, were given detailed information about the architectural solutions of the complex, as well as the essence and features of its composition.

An official welcoming ceremony was held at the Kuksaroy residence for Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzroy, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit.

After that, negotiations were held between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fitzo at the Koksaroy residence. The urgent issues of further development of practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Slovakia were considered. At the beginning of the meeting, Mirziyoyev emphasized that this visit will mark a qualitatively new stage in the history of multifaceted Uzbek-Slovak relations.

Fitso will also participate in the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum.
