Uzbekistan and Pakistan to strengthen defense cooperation

Uzbek Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev met with Pakistani Minister of Defense Industries Hayat Harraj.

The meeting discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda in the field of defense and the defense industry, as well as specific areas of cooperation.

During the conversation, the importance of further deepening cooperation between the two countries in the political, trade-economic, scientific-technical, and, especially, defense spheres, taking into account international and regional processes, was emphasized.

The parties considered proposals for the implementation of joint projects, taking into account modern technological solutions, and the effective use of the capabilities of the parties' scientific and technological parks.

It was agreed to organize mutual visits of delegations at various levels to discuss issues of mutual cooperation in detail.
