Turkmenistan announces tender for construction of mosque in Azerbaijan


The Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan has announced a tender for the construction of a new mosque in the Azerbaijani city of Fuzuli. The project aims to strengthen cultural and spiritual ties between the two countries.

The tender will be conducted in the form of quotations and is open to national and international companies. The deadline for submitting documents is September 22, 2025.

Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, former President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, had promised to build a mosque in the city of Fuzuli.

According to him, during his visit to Fuzuli, Berdimuhamedov expressed his readiness to build a mosque in this city. Aliev "accepted this offer with gratitude." The new mosque is expected to enrich the architectural image of Fuzuli and become the center of religious and cultural life of the region. The project also includes modern engineering solutions, which will ensure the strength and safety of the building.
