Turkey and Senegal reach important agreements

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko held one-on-one meetings and delegation-level talks in Ankara, followed by a signing ceremony for bilateral agreements.

In particular, Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and Senegalese Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Biram Diop signed an agreement on military cooperation between the two countries and a protocol amending the protocol on the implementation of financial assistance between the governments of January 28, 2020.

In addition, it was agreed to establish cooperation between Senegal and Turkey in the field of cinema, audiovisual and multimedia, and to implement the Memorandum of Understanding between the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of the Republic of Senegal.
