Two employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia broke into the Moscow apartment of the counselor of the Kyrgyz embassy Manas Zoldoshbekov to check the legality of his stay in the country.
According to Russian Telegram channels, the incident took place on April 8. The police broke the lock of the Kyrgyz diplomat's apartment, damaged the entrance door, and then rudely demanded to show the detachable part of the migration registration form.
Even after the diplomat and his family members presented their diplomatic passports and diplomatic cards, police officers continued to aggressively demand the presentation of migration registration documents.
This information was later confirmed by Kyrgyz parliament member Dastan Bekeshev. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan called the actions of the Russian police unacceptable and demanded a thorough investigation.
"Thank God, no one was hurt, but an incident happened. If they do this to embassy staff, I can't imagine what they will do to non-immune citizens. It seems that the Russian police are crazy," said Bekeshev.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan called the actions of the Russian police unacceptable and demanded a thorough investigation.
"Such behavior by the law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation against the accredited employees of the diplomatic mission of the Kyrgyz Republic is unacceptable and requires a thorough investigation and bringing the culprits to justice as soon as possible," the MFA reported.
On April 12, a meeting was held at the Kyrgyz T IV consular office with Andrey Burev, consul adviser of the Russian embassy, regarding the incident.
During the meeting, the Kyrgyz side specifically emphasized that the Russian I IV personnel grossly violated the provisions of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
Consul Andrey Burevoy said that he was sorry for this fact and that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia had received an official note from Kyrgyzstan, based on which an investigation is currently being conducted, the results of which will be reported to the Kyrgyz side.
