On the eve of Ramadan, the President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on pardoning 426 prisoners . 135 of those who were pardoned were released from the main punishment in full, 200 were paroled. Among them are 11 foreigners and 3 minors.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on April 8, on the eve of Ramadan, signed a decree on pardoning a group of people who are serving a sentence and who sincerely regret their actions and are committed to recovery.

According to the document, 426 persons were pardoned, 135 of them were fully released from the main punishment, 200 were released on parole before the term of serving the sentence, 26 were replaced with a lighter one.

Also, the terms of imprisonment imposed on 65 persons were reduced.

11 of those pardoned are foreign citizens, 50 are women, 13 are men over 60 years old, 157 are young people (including 3 minors), and 5 are persons who participated in the activities of banned organizations.

The President gave orders to return the pardoned persons to their families and relatives, to help them adapt to social life, engage in useful work, establish a healthy lifestyle, and find a worthy place in society.
