The chairmen of the TDT National Security Councils met in Turkestan



The III meeting of the chairmen of the National Security Council of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Turkestan, Kazakhstan.

According to the statement issued by TDT, the Secretary of the Security Council of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov, Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan Gizat Nurdauletov, Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan Marat Imankulov, Secretary General of the National Security Council of Turkey Seyfullah Hajimuftuoglu, Secretary of the Security Council of Uzbekistan Viktor Mahmudov attended the meeting held in the city of Turkestan, which is considered the spiritual capital of the Turkic world. and TDT Secretariat led by TDT Deputy General Secretary Omer Kojaman participated.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current security situation and current events in the TDT region and the world.

The security threats and risks aimed at the TDT countries, as well as the possible impact of some regional and global changes on the Turkish region were assessed. The parties also paid attention to the issues of ensuring transport security and developing transport and logistics infrastructure along the Middle Corridor, ensuring international information security.

The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of developing cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism, illegal arms and drug trafficking, and cross-border organized crime.

In addition, the parties discussed in detail the issue of strengthening mechanisms within the TDT to develop existing cooperation in the field of security with specific projects and programs.
