President of Kazakhstan: Turkic world is a new geopolitical reality

The head of Kazakhstan stated this in an interview with Azerbaijan's APA agency on the eve of his visit to Baku.
" In a relatively short historical period, the cooperation of our countries has shown its vitality and defined the contours of the Turkic world as a new geopolitical reality. Our task, figuratively speaking, is to ensure the stable development of this seedling with strong genes," said Tokaev.
The leader of Kazakhstan emphasized the great potential of TDT member states .
"Here are just a few numbers: the total territory is about 4.5 million square kilometers, the total gross domestic product exceeds 1.5 trillion dollars, and the population is more than 160 million people. The volume of goods exchange within the TDT reached 42.3 billion dollars, and the total trade turnover of Turkic countries with the world is about 1.3 trillion dollars. All the countries of the organization confidently enter the world economic processes, are represented in the main international organizations and work actively. I think this is enough for more successful development of integration processes within the TDT ," said the President of Kazakhstan.
Kasim-Jomart Tokaev expressed optimism about the future cooperation of Turkish countries within the framework of TDT , and emphasized the desire to develop cooperation in many areas, including transit, economy, ecology, science, education, art, tourism, sports and general history.
"In this regard, I cannot but emphasize the work of other organizations that are part of the TDT family, such as TURKSOY, the Academy of Turkish Languages, the Foundation for the Culture and Heritage of Turkic Peoples. They are not only carrying out a humanitarian and educational mission, but also bringing a huge spiritual burden to the life of our people," added Tokaev .
Tokaev also touched on mutual relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in the context of TDT and emphasized the unity of views on the development of the organization. He noted that both nations actively participate in Turkish international structures, which is a clear evidence of a common strategic direction and agreed position on integration issues within the TDT .
