Temu is blocked in Uzbekistan
In accordance with the requirements of Uzbek legislation, the use of the Chinese Temu platform will be restricted in accordance with the established procedure from March 20. This was reported by the press service of the Tax Committee.
It is noted that only legal entities - residents of Uzbekistan - can operate as e-commerce operators, in particular, operators of e-commerce platforms.
However, during the study of the activities of foreign e-commerce platforms, in particular Temu, the committee found that they did not comply with the requirements of legislation in the field of e-commerce, retail, advertising, personal data protection, consumer protection, copyright and related rights.
The committee has asked that orders not be placed on the Temu platform starting today to avoid misunderstandings.
