Ramadan Eid may be celebrated in Tajikistan on March 30

This year, the month of Ramadan in Tajikistan is expected to last 29 days, and Eid al-Fitr may be celebrated on March 30. The Committee for Religious Affairs of Tajikistan informed Asia-Plus about this.

The report states that the Ulema Council will hold a meeting on March 27 and announce the final decision on the date of Eid al-Fitr. Experts say that this year, since the months of Rajab and Sha'ban each last 30 days, there is a high probability that Ramadan will last 29 days.

This situation is not unique to Tajikistan. "All countries in the region, including Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries, support this position," the Committee said in a statement.
