President congratulates the people of Uzbekistan on Eid al-Adha





President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

"Dear compatriots! I am very pleased to sincerely congratulate you, all our Muslim fellow citizens, and our entire people on the great and sacred holiday of Kurban Bayit, and to express my high respect and best wishes.

"First of all, we express our immense gratitude to the merciful and powerful Allah Almighty for welcoming this glorious holiday, Eid al-Adha, which is precious for the entire Islamic community, together with our people and country, in a peaceful and serene atmosphere," the congratulatory message begins.

The Head of State noted that today, great work is being carried out in Uzbekistan to strengthen solidarity between different nationalities and religious confessions, ensure freedom of conscience, preserve religious and educational heritage, and educate the younger generation in the spirit of national and universal values.

The President of Uzbekistan also noted that the Center for Islamic Civilization being built in Tashkent is a huge and unique project in the scientific and spiritual direction, which is attracting great interest among the people and the international community.

At the same time, the head of state noted that 15,000 Uzbeks are currently performing the holy Hajj pilgrimage.

"In these auspicious moments when good prayers and intentions are fulfilled, we sincerely congratulate them on Eid al-Adha and ask the Creator for their safe return to the land."

"We hope that our esteemed pilgrims will set a special example and role model in further strengthening solidarity in our society, an atmosphere of kindness in our families and neighborhoods, strengthening the education of our youth, encouraging them to pursue knowledge and enlightenment, master modern professions, become defenders of the homeland, and provide assistance to those in need," the congratulatory message reads.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also sincerely congratulated compatriots currently abroad on this great day, wishing them health, safety, happiness, and success.

"Of course, our brave and noble people, who have endured many trials and hardships in their history, are fully capable of this. I believe that on this path, the kindness, unity, and solidarity inherent in our people and homeland will serve as an incomparable source of strength for us."

"I once again sincerely congratulate you, dear ones, on the holy Eid al-Adha, and wish you all peace, good health, and prosperity in your homes. May the holiday be blessed for all of us," the president's congratulatory message reads.
