Poor families will be provided with free medicines and a guaranteed package of medical services.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted at the opening of the international forum "From Poverty to Prosperity" that it is impossible to fully realize human potential without protecting its health.

In this regard, 140,000 poor families have been assigned doctors and are undergoing a full medical examination once a year. Now, guaranteed medical services will be increased, and the costs of poor families for this will be reduced by half. At the same time, they will be provided with free medicines and a package of guaranteed medical services.

The presidential press secretary wrote that targeted work with the population in need of social protection is one of the main directions in the fight against poverty. Therefore, this system has been fundamentally reformed, and the powers previously held by 6 state organizations have been consolidated into a single National Agency for Social Protection.

In a short period of time, "Inson" centers have been established in each district and city, providing more than 100 social services on a "one-stop" basis. A social worker is proactively working with the population in each neighborhood, the report says.
