Passenger bus overturns in Turkey: There are casualties and injuries

A passenger bus overturned in the Bingol region of Turkey. The incident occurred on the Bingol-Diyarbakir road, near the Genç district.

According to reports, the driver of a bus traveling from Şırnak to Erzurum lost control and fell into a ditch. The accident killed 5 people and injured 31 others.

Medical aid, police and rescue teams were called to the scene. The injured were taken to hospital and are receiving medical care.

Bingol Governor Ahmet Hamdi Usta said the bus lost control on an icy road and fell into a ditch. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
