Negotiations were held with the participation of Mirziyoyev and George Meloni

Face-to-face talks and talks with the participation of official delegations between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Italy Giorgi Meloni were held at the Congress Center in Samarkand.

It considered issues of further developing bilateral strategic partnership relations and expanding multifaceted cooperation.

It was also agreed to expand technical assistance programs for businesses in the trade sector.

These include training Uzbek exporters to enter the European Union market, establishing a joint Certification Center in Tashkent, and accelerating the adoption of the Agreement on Conformity Assessment.

In addition, Mirziyoyev proposed launching a Technology Partnership Program with leading Italian companies.

In the field of education, plans to launch a branch of the University of Tushiya in our country, as well as dual degree programs with the universities of Pisa, Trento, Roma Tre, and Ca' Foscari, were supported.

As part of the visit, an agreement was also signed to establish systematic cooperation in the field of labor migration.
