Mirziyoyev held talks with Chinese President

Today, June 17, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks in Astana within the framework of the "Central Asia - China" summit.

It was noted that the meeting focused on the fact that trade turnover in 2024 reached $14 billion, and the portfolio of investment projects amounted to more than $60 billion.

The leaders stressed the importance of accelerating the construction of the strategic railway "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan". They expressed interest in developing exchanges in the fields of education, science, tourism and culture, personnel training, and Chinese language learning.

In 2024, the 20th anniversary of the Confucius Institute was celebrated, and China's "Lu Ban Workshop" vocational training system is being introduced. Next year, it is planned to hold culture and art weeks in the two countries.

It was noted that the meeting also exchanged views on the international agenda.
