In 2024, Kazakhstan will hold training exercises "Birlestik" with the participation of the military contingents of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Large-scale military exercises will be held in Kazakhstan in 2024 with the participation of Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan as part of the military preparations. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan on Monday, January 15.
"This year, large-scale training sessions with the participation of five countries will take place in our country, and they should be held at a high organizational level. It is extremely important for us to maintain friendly relations between the fraternal nations and the armed forces while performing the task of ensuring security in the Central Asian region," said Defense Minister Ruslan Yakhaslikov at an extended meeting on the main directions of training and the development of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the 2024 academic year.
First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Marat Khusainov announced that in 2024, more than 160 operational and more than 70,000 combat training events are planned.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan noted that the "Birlestik" exercises with the participation of the navy, air force, special operations troops of the "Western" regional command and the military contingents of Azerbaijan , Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are the most important of them.
Earlier, the American company Global Firepower announced the list of the most powerful armies in the world in 2024. Kazakhstan took 58th place, Azerbaijan 59th place, Uzbekistan 65th place, Kyrgyzstan 100th place and Tajikistan 107th place.
