Kazakhstan wants to supply halal and organic products to Qatar
Kazakhstan expressed its readiness to supply halal and organic agricultural products to the Qatari market. It was also announced that large and strategically important investment projects worth 17.6 billion dollars will be implemented between the two countries.
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Oljas Bektenov held talks with his Qatari counterpart in Doha, reports Orda.kz.
The head of the government of Kazakhstan announced that the republic is ready to become a partner in the supply of halal and organic agricultural products to the Qatar market. Local enterprises have already started cooperation with Qatari companies on projects in the field of agriculture.
"We are about to implement large and strategically important investment projects with an unprecedented amount of 17.6 billion dollars," said Oljas Bektenov in a meeting with Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Al Soni.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties signed a construction contract:
gas processing plants for $5.7 billion;
"Aktobe- Kostanay " main gas pipelines and the second line "Beyneu- Bozoy -Shymkent" for 7.7 billion dollars;
$2.7 billion 1,100 MW steam- gas -fired power plant and 350 MW GE S;
factories for deep processing of wheat, peas and milk.
